Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Substance Use Disorders

Given the high rates of co-occurrence for mental and substance use health concerns, it is often said that experiencing challenges in both areas is the “expectation- not the exception”. Available in short (1-2hr), half day or full day workshop options.

Understanding Health Behavior Change

Fundamentally, most helping professionals are working with people about making changes in their lives- whatever those changes may be. Learn more about the theories and science behind different health behaviors. Why don’t people choose the “healthy” option? How can helpers best intentions backfire? What can helpers do instead? Available in short (1-2hr) or half day workshop options.

Motivational Interviewing

Learn Motivational Interviewing from an experienced Motivational Interviewing Instructor. Introductory and “skills refresher” trainings for staff available, as well as tailored consultation and coaching sessions. Short sessions (1-2hrs), half day, full day, and multi-day training options available.

Supervising CBT and Motivational Interviewing

Learn practical insights and tips from an experienced supervisor in both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. • I understand that non-profits, start-ups, and independent helping professionals can have diverse budgets and resources available for learning and development. While I typically have similar rates to the BC Psychological Association’s fee schedule with a rate of $245/hr, I offer a discount on my hourly rate for larger contracts and I can work on a sliding scale. I will occasionally offer some pro bono services in unique situations. We can develop a plan together to best meet your unique learning needs as well as your training budget.
